Including future generations and non-humans is one of the key challenges faced by projects aimed at promoting sustainability through participation.
Within the projects “PHOENIX. The rise of Citizens Voices for a Greener Europe”, “The Democratic Odyssey” or “The Real Deal”, different research groups, local authorities and civil society organizations are directly addressing this challenge by finding innovative ways to include subjects that do not usually take part in deliberative processes.
