The NEB Prizes and NEB Boost for Small Municipalities are back!

New European Bauhaus Prizes

The New European Bauhaus Prizes exemplify beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive real-life projects and encourage the younger generation to develop new concepts and ideas.

It is now a well-established annual competition that provides a platform for creativity, talent, and innovative ideas to the benefit of local communities and society as a whole. The past four editions of the Prizes in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 demonstrated a great interest and commitment of people throughout and beyond Europe to shape a New European Bauhaus inspired world.

Across five editions, the NEB Prizes have brought visibility to projects and ideas from across the EU, the Western Balkans and Ukraine. Since 2021, over 5,700 applications have been received, and 94 winners have shared more than €2 million in support.

The 2026 prizes edition introduces several new features, showcasing the expanded interest these awards are receiving:

                       1. Enhancing Circularity, Sustainability, and Innovation

                       2. Strengthening Local Democracy and Inclusion

                       3. Arts, Culture, and Heritage as Drivers of Change

                       4. Enablers for New European Bauhaus Transformation

NEB Boost for Small Municipalities

The NEB Boost for Small Municipalities was set up in 2025 with the support of the European Parliament, with the aim to help municipalities overcome early barriers when implementing NEB projects. The first edition of the NEB Boost received 315 submissions from 26 EU countries. 20 small municipalities were awarded for their innovative, community-driven solutions.
