Description
Four experts will meet to analyze contemporary urban transformations from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Ismael Irigoy, Noelia Parajuá, Gabriel Muleiro, and Cristina Botana will rethink topics such as the relationship between the real estate market and socio-spatial segregation, as well as the processes that drive up housing prices and transform historic city centers. They will also explore sustainable food distribution systems that contribute to reducing the ecological footprint and improving access to healthy food. Furthermore, they will analyze how cities experience rhizomatic processes that manifest in urban life through citizen initiatives, alternative uses of space, and new forms of collective organization that reconfigure the social and spatial fabric of cities.
The meeting offers a space for critical reflection on the multiple layers that shape the urban environment, encouraging dialogue between theory and practice to imagine more inclusive, sustainable, and diverse futures.
