Roman Puchko is a Co-Founder and CEO of ReThink – a circular economy and green innovations NGO, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. ReThink is known for its dedication to pre-cycling and circular design (platform for education and capacity building in circularity; free water refill in Kyiv; circular economy hackathons; driver for circularity in built environment). Roman holds an MSc degree from Wageningen University in Management, Economics, and Consumer Studies (2011) and has completed a course on Circular Cities at the University of Amsterdam (2019).
He has been a member of the Innovations Development Council under the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Roman is also an evaluator of the USF Calls (within the Energy & Environment sectors).
Since 2019, a special focus for ReThink is dedicated to the topic of circular cities and circularity in the built environment, since they realize that if cities don’t become circular - everything else won’t matter in our journey toward climate neutrality. Roman’s special focus since early 2022 is green, sustainable & circular reconstruction of Ukraine through relevant applied education, advanced policies, innovative technical solutions, and stakeholder engagement
