Joris Janssens is a senior expert at IDEA Consult, working at the intersection of culture, policy and regional development. With a background in research and strategic guidance, he supports governments, organisations and networks across Europe in navigating transitions towards more sustainable, inclusive and future-oriented cultural practices. He is a research lead in Perform Europe, where he contributes to rethinking touring models and strengthening sustainable performing arts collaboration across borders. He was previously Head of Research & Development at Kunstenpunt (Flanders Arts Institute) and Director of the VTi (Institute for Performing Arts in Flanders). He combines a deep knowledge of his sector with a strong focus on systemic change in the arts ecosystem.
