Gilles Emond is currently Head of Public Real Estate & Finance at AG Real Estate, the subsidiary of the main Belgian Insurance Company, AG Insurance (Ageas Group).
After having worked 10 years as an architect engineer, he started in 1999 at AG Real Estate, and was in charge of developing large projects including offices, retail and residential. He was also active on the Investment side in various European countries. In 2010 he set up the Scholen van Morgen Program, a very large Public Private Partnership project for school construction in Flanders. From 2019 to 2022 he was responsible for Ageas real estate activities in Portugal.
Back to Brussels since 2023, his main challenges are to combine qualitative design and construction process with a robust financial structuring and to structure balanced partnerships between Public and Private actors.
Passionate about Athletics, he ran on 400m hurdles: an excellent training to the complexity of project development in a changing world!
