Adrian Câciu was born in Bucharest on February 20, 1974 and graduated from ”Gheorghe Șincai” High School in Bucharest in 1992. He became an economist, after having obtained the Bachelor degree in Commercial and Financial Relations, Domestic and International Banking, and a Master's degree in Rural and Regional Development Project Management.
Between November 2021 and June 2023, he occupied the position of Minister of Finance. He has been the Minister for Investments and European Projects since June 2023. He participated in the development of three governing programs of the Social Democratic Party (including the present one). He is specialized in macroeconomic analysis and fiscal-budgetary policy, being an author of over 600 specialized articles.
