Nature, Materials & Community: A NEB Prize Winners Spotlight

In the next NEB Prizes “Spotlight” session, three inspiring winners of the 2025 NEB Prizes will share how their work engages with the natural environment in creative and practical ways. From therapeutic sculpture workshops that reconnect people with materials and making, to innovative hemp-based construction solutions and community-driven place-making initiatives, this session will showcase diverse approaches to working with nature across art, design, materials and social practice.

This session is designed as an interactive exchange with the NEB Community. Through discussion and Q&A, participants will be invited to reflect on the methods, techniques and ways of working behind these projects, and explore how similar approaches could be adapted within their own practices. The session will create space to learn directly from the experiences of the prize winners, share perspectives with peers, and identify practical ideas that can inspire new ways of working with nature.
