European Bauhaus Studio at UCL
The studio focused on circularity and inclusiveness in architectural design - creating sustainable and sufficient building strategies as well as research on new educational models to support the large scale plan for a new European Bauhaus, that was announced by president of the EU commission Ursula von der Leyen in her state of the union address. The project reconsiders the role of the designer from the creator of fixed objects to a system architect, producing circular environments that can adapt to the fast-paced changes of the information age. Using the research in reconfigurable material solutions and scalable timber construction lead to an innovative spatial strategy for lifelong-learning environments.
