Katrin Þorvaldsdóttir, has worked as an artist, puppeteer and scenographer for over 40 years, being involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from theatre and television to art exhibitions and personal work. Most recently she has been exploring using kelp as a material for design, splitting her time between creating art, such as masks and puppets, and research-based work developing the preservation and treatment of kelp material, which is used throughout the projects undertaken by the studio.
