Tommaso Calarco is Director of the Institute of Quantum Control (PGI-8) at Forschungszentrum Jülich and Professor at the Universities of Cologne and Bologna. In 2016, Calarco authored the Quantum Manifesto that launched the European Commission’s Quantum Flagship, where he currently serves as Chair of the Quantum Community Network (QCN). He is Secretary of the Top-Level Advisory Board on Quantum Technologies, chaired by EC VP Henna Virkkunen, and a co-founder of the European Quantum Industry Consortium QuIC.
