The abandonment and neglect suffered by many areas has negative consequences for local communities. Enormous potential remains untapped. HUB-IN is developing and testing a model to regenerate historic urban areas using their cultural heritage assets to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. Lisbon, Genoa, Slovenska Bistrica, Grand Angouleme, Belfast, Brasov, Nicosia and Utrecht are working on their selected Historic Urban Area and transforming it into a "Hub of Innovation a Entrepreneurship".
