What if you could design with materials that don't exist yet in mainstream fashion? In this hands-on workshop, participants take on the role of designers — no design background required.
Guided by the IMASUS methodology, teams work at round tables with real textile samples from recycled and bio-based sources, exploring their properties, textures, and potential applications. Using printed step-by-step materials, each group develops a design proposal that responds to a sustainability challenge. At the end of the session, the proposals come together into a shared outcome built by everyone in the room.
The workshop is part of the IMASUS project (Imagining Sustainable Fashion), an Erasmus+ initiative developing a framework and digital library of alternative materials for the textile and fashion industry.
