I Sewed My Way Through the Dark: Contemporary Textile Art An itinerary designed for the visually impaired

Experience art without seeing it. Housed in a 17th-century former monastery, eight immersive rooms of textile artworks featuring 12 international artists aim to gently reverse habitual hierarchies of visual perception. Proposing an inclusive model where the visually impaired from the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired guide the general audience through blindfolded tours, the process invites the aesthetic experience through sensorial exploration, followed by poetry.
