Dr Veronika Valk-Siska is Head of Housing Policy and National Contact Point for the New European Bauhaus at the Ministry of Climate in Estonia. She brings long standing experience in shaping high-quality built environments across Estonia and Europe, through roles including chairing Member States’ experts on high-quality architecture and inclusive built environment and advising on architecture and design at the Ministry of Culture in Estonia. An architect by training, she holds a master’s degree in architecture and urban planning from the Estonian Academy of Arts, and a PhD from the RMIT University School of Architecture and Design in Melbourne, Australia. An advocate of “architecture as initiative”, she helped launch the Kultuurikatel creative hub in Tallinn and is architecture and design editor of Estonia’s cultural publications Sirp and Müürileht.
