Anna Heringer became internationally known in 2007 with the construction of the METI School in Rudrapur, Bangladesh, which she designed as her diploma thesis at the University of Art and Design Linz. Since then, Heringer has further developed and disseminated her award-winning architectural approach through buildings in Asia, Africa and Europe as well as through teaching architecture at the University of Liechtenstein, Harvard University, ETH Zurich, among others. She uses architecture as a catalyst for local development, particularly through the use of natural building materials such as earth, bamboo and wood and the participation of users in the construction process. She is also the CEO of Dipdii Textiles, a women`s collaboration for fair fashion and textile art.
