Aksel Mjøs is Head of the Department of Finance at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Before entering academia, he worked in international finance, including as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London. Mjøs has chaired Norwegian government commissions on capital access and nature risk and serves on the European Commission’s expert group for the New European Bauhaus Facility. His research focuses on corporate debt, banks, and entrepreneurial finance. He is also a local politician and engaged entrepreneur.
