“From the Tagus to the Tile” by Fahrenheit.works, an original case study of the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails NEB Lighthouse Project, reinterprets Lisbon’s azulejo tiles using a biomaterial made of oyster shells and seaweed-based pigments. At the NEB Festival, materials, prototypes and processes are presented in an engaging format, where touch and experimentation are encouraged so as to learn how marine resources can inform a unique take on a traditional symbol through a circular design approach.
