The Aalborg East redevelopment transformed a deprived district into a safe, inclusive and sustainable community. More than 2,000 homes were renewed without displacement, and strong social progress followed: higher incomes, more people in employment, rising education levels and a major drop in criminal convictions. Co-creation and long-term partnerships turned the area into a vibrant mixed district and NEB Prize winner.
