Summary of the examples received

From February 12th to March 18th, we had 123 total contributions. Most examples are still about tools, methods and processes, followed by networks and buildings. Events, materials and norms are still the categories with less contributions.

Wordcloud

The word-cloud on the left is extracted from the description of the examples. We see that the words that appear most are project (143 times), design, people and urban. Buildings is not anymore the most repeated word in the contributions. Sustainability, community, social and design are the key values and principles that inspire the examples. Community, social, sustainable and environment stand out as the changes proposed by the examples.

location of examples

The European countries that are contributing more examples are still Spain, Germany and Italy. Most examples have a local scale ad could benefit both from institutional visibility and funding.

details on the examples

The examples improve a wide range of aspects, from environment, physical spaces and solutions, design and planning to lifestyles, culture and education. They are mostly initiated by civil society.

Triads for the examples

Most examples benefit millions of people but the distribution is quite varied. Projects could become mainstream in a relatively short period, and are the result of both individual and community action. In the triads, we see that still few examples are leaning towards aesthetics alone, and a cluster of projects is forming between inclusion and sustainability. They offer a mix of new ways to interact with the environment and better opportunities to meet and share. They need a mix of support from people and financial resurces, and benefit benefit the three levels of buildings, space and life with a cluster forming around the dimensions of life, and that of life and space.

Example roles

The diagrams show how most respondents are professionals and business owners, followed by citizens and neighbours. The overwhelming majority is part of a small medium enterprise or of a micro enterprise.
