The Call for Co-Creation of Public Space will support projects that find innovative solutions in New European Bauhaus themes. The projects will use citizen engagement to re-design public spaces in cities, peri-urban and rural areas. The call will identify inspirational, beautiful, sustainable and inclusive project proposals, demonstrating new solutions that boost the transformation of cities, peri-urban and rural areas by bringing individuals and communities closer to nature, bringing sense of belonging, addressing the needs of territories, communities that needed specific attention, and transforming value chains and life of materials towards circularity.

Integrated solutions for circularity in buildings and the construction sector (IA) to contribute to the New European Bauhaus by: 1) projects on increased deployment and market uptake of innovative solutions a) for construction, waste prevention, lifetime extension and improvement of lifecycle performance of buildings and their components; b) to design and manufacture for disassembly, waste prevention and management, reuse and recycling in the construction sector, including production and assembling; 2) Enhanced diffusion of advanced digital solutions; 3) Increased recovery and recycling rates of construction and demolition waste; 4) Improved elimination of hazardous substances from secondary materials; 5) Increased upcycling of reused and recycled material in construction; and 6) Increased knowledge about the overall environmental footprint of buildings and construction materials and increased practical application of the Commission’s Product Environmental Footprint method.
