Saturday in the Marais WIELS

Visit & Practice is a three-part format that connects contemporary art mediation with a sensory exploration of the Marais ecosystem surrounding WIELS in Brussels.

The programme combines a guided tour, a hands-on workshop based on collage and experimentation, and an introduction to the biodiversity and natural life of the marsh. Working with found materials and older instant reproduction techniques, such as carbon paper, Polaroid, invisible ink and fax paper, participants explore images, stories and common questions about our natural environment, while experimenting with slower and more sustainable ways of creating.
