Arne Cornelius Wasmuth is a German political scientist, journalist and cultural heritage expert. He is chairman of the board of the Marzona Stiftung Neue Saalecker Werkstätten and founding director of dieDAS – Design Akademie Saaleck.
Wasmuth grew up in Asia (Korea) and Africa (Nigeria). He holds a BA in Political Science from Columbia University and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE). Between 2012 and 2014 he completed a master’s degree in “Strategies for European Cultural Heritage” at the European University Viadrina in
Frankfurt (Oder).
Wasmuth is a trained journalist and documentary film maker who has worked for numerous public broadcasting stations and media institutions (eg. NDR, ARTE, RBB).
In 2018 together with the patron and art collector Egidio Marzona, Wasmuth co-founded the non-profit Marzona Stiftung Neue Saalecker Werkstätten, which he runs as Chairman of the Board. Since 2019 Wasmuth is the founding director of dieDAS – Design Akademie Saaleck.
