Enrico Giovannini is Professor of Economic Statistics and Sustainable Development at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata,” and the co-founder and Scientific Director of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS). He served as a Minister in the Draghi and Letta governments. Previously, he was President of the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) and Chief Statistician of the OECD. In 2014, he was awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (Cavaliere di Gran Croce al Merito), the country’s highest honour. He also holds an honorary PhD in Sustainable Development and Climate Change.
