Dr. Mila Duncheva represents Stora Enso’s Wood Products Business Unit, advancing the transition to low-carbon, circular construction. She focuses on scaling mass timber and industrialised construction systems that align with New European Bauhaus principles. Previously, she worked at the Institute for Sustainable Construction and served as a Young Ambassador at the UK Construction Leadership Council. Duncheva continues her work in academia, supervising doctoral research on digital twins for net zero carbon and collaborative procurement. At Stora Enso, she leads business development and global trend analysis to position engineered wood as a high-performance alternative to fossil-based materials. Her work includes procurement innovation and ESG-driven project development to ensure sustainable timber construction is delivered at scale. Stora Enso is Europe’s largest sawn timber producer and proudly an official "Friend" of the New European Bauhaus.
