The theory of circular economy makes sense but in reality only about 7% of the world economy functions “circularly.” Why? Because circular economy implementation is very difficult. Luckily, researchers, designers and businesses are working to put circular economy theory into practice. At Aalto University Finland they are called The Pathfinders. Examples of how circular economy becomes reality: in textiles, the built environment and lithium batteries will showcase their work.
