EUmies Awards 2026

The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture/Mies van der Rohe Awards, is an initiative of the EU supported by the Creative Europe programme, organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe in cooperation with the European Commission.

  • Competitions and award ceremonies

The event will take place in Oulu in the context of Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture, and will be hosted at the AaltoSiilo. The winners of the EUmies Awards Architecture and Emerging categories were selected by an international Jury, following site visits to the finalist projects across Europe.

The event will also be livestreamed on the EUmies Awards YouTube channel.

The AaltoSiilo designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto in 1931 and currently being transformed into a research centre for architectural preservation, provides a unique setting to reflect on contemporary architecture and its future in Europe.
